This is a slightly delayed response to this specifically but we've posted two blogs now that have addressed how we handle reports and bans. These are intended to help people understand that our process is meant to filter out false/mass reports and that while we do our best sometimes things slip past and that's what the appeals process is for.

agreed - i've just been temp banned for a group of men being extremely sexist towards me and killing me because they "didn't want to play with a woman" and then mass reported me with fraudulent reports over the course of multiple lobbies...

We are working on a post to adress this, but ironing out an appeals system and also working on our karma system. The in-game reports system is already more robust and we can see different correlations between reports and reporters. So we are handling this already to some degree. In the future a karma score will also be paired with the in-game reporting, to make it even more robus.
