After dodging a few lobbies, I've noticed that my character changes to default, and then when I go back to the main menu I receive a notice that I've been temporarily banned.

Perhaps if the ban was real and had more information as to why a person has been banned (hate speech, disruptive gameplay, etc.) then it might not be so confusing.
